High Court Bar Association of Manipur condemns blast at Delhi High Court

An Emergency Executive Committee Meeting along with invitees was held in the office of the High Court Bar Association, Manipur on the 8th of Sept., 2011 presided by the Shri N. Kumarjit Singh, Senior Advocate, President of the High Court Bar Association along with the Vice President - Ch. Dhananjoy Singh, Advocate, the Secretary -M. Roshni Piba, the Joint Secretary - Genananda Hijam and Executive Member - Kh. Mani, Advocate.
The Meeting was held in relation to the bomb attack at Gate No. 5 of the Delhi High Court.
The members in the meeting strongly condemned the gruesome and dastardly act of terrorism upon the Indian judiciary. Such attack on the Indian judiciary has got no parallel and resuires to be condemned in the highest term of language and expression.
In token of the condemnation the court proceedings of the day was abstained to by the members of the Bar.
Further it has been resolved that the High Court Bar Association, Manipur, shall make effective representations to the concerned authorities to take preventive and adequate security measures for the Gauhati High Court, Imphal Bench in view of the bomb attack on the Delhi High Court and also in view of the present law and order situation prevailing in the State of Manipur.
Mention may be made that bomb threats have been posed on many occasions even in the Gauhati High Court, Imphal Bench.
