Career orientation for NE students organized at Mukherjee Nagar Police Station, Delhi on October 18 2015
A career orientation cum social awareness program on entrepreneurship, law and order and career options for north east students was organized by Voice Club in association with Manipur Young Mind Association Delhi (MYMAD), Centre for Rural Upliftment and Development Organization (CREDO) and Manipur Upliftment Centre (MUC) Manipur at Mukherjee Nagar Police Station, New Delhi - 110009.
Mr. Joy Raj, ex serviceman and social worker talked about his experience as a north east student in delhi. He also explained about the mentality of discrimination, prejudice etc for both north east people as well as the mainland people.
Rajiv Baruwa, UPSC coordinator Sankalp Bhawan explained about pursuing civil services as a career. He also extended a comprehensive speech about upsc exam preparation.
CP Barduwas, Inspector of Delhi Police talked about the security measures that the Delhi Police had taken over the years for the students staying in the North Campus areas of Delhi University. He also asked the participants to cooperate with Delhi Police in preventing and fighting crimes.
Hidam Gourashyam, a reasearch scholar from Manipur expressed his concerns about the lack of respect for labour. He insisted that we should respect all professions saying that we need all sorts of services.
Rohit Khari, former Assistant Director of Commerce & Industry, Goverment of India said that entrepreneurship is about taking risk. However, it has no limits. It is one of the most important service to mankind. It is needed for the development of any society.
The speakers were felicitated by Khulna laimayum, President MYMAD, Anand Wangkhem, Secretary, CREDO, Manipur Rezeena Yaikhom, Secretary of VOICE CLUB and Bidyasagar Salam, President of VOICE CLUB, Delhi.
