Most of the poems in this book are short and concise. Though craftsmanship is somewhat weak, the poetic thoughts of Musindra is praiseworthy. Understanding the problems of the present life and society he depicts various images on his canvas of poetry. We should be civilized, we should be good enough for bringing forth a very good society, every man thinks so but we could hardly see any good practice. In his poem entitled 'Amamba Surung Amada', the poet writes, 'Laorammi akanba khollaona/migi marakta mi leigadabani/shagi marakta shana tingadabani/Eisu khankhi/masimadi chumba tai/ adubu! Shak-khangdaba mi-oibashingdudi/thou isha shadana chatli/hanggi mi-gum.' The English version of the piece is, 'Shouting with high scale/ man should live amongst man/blast should live amongst the beasts/I too, think/it would be right/But! Those unidentified men/ go still neglecting all/ like dummies'. Longer poems of Musindra would be better than those of the shorter ones of three or four lines. The expression of ideas in these short poems are not so forceful. Musindra's view on Imphal city is pessimistic. He writes in his poem 'Imphal Shahar', 'Leibak asida nong tadre/eesing phangari/eekang thokle/chet khairakle machet machet/mayi chat lakle laone/thakkadabagi eesing/makhayat loana kathoktuna'. The English version, 'No rainfall in this land/ water isn't available/drought appears/ cracked into pieces/making attempts to drink water/opened widely its jaws'. Title is not so suitable to the content. Better poems are expected from the poet.
