Aeronautical engineering as career option

Like any other branches of engineering aeronautical engineering is one of the challenging fields. This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defence systems. It specialises in the designing, construction, development, testing, operation and maintenance of both commercial and military aircraft, spacecrafts and their components as well as satellites and missiles.
There has been increasing demand in this field of engineering. An aeronautical engineer needs to be physically fit and fully dedicated to his or her work. Engineers may work in areas like design, development, maintenance as well as in the managerial and teaching posts in institutes. They find a very good demand in airlines, aircraft manufacturing units, air turbine production plants or design development programmes for the aviation industry.
Many engineering colleges offer BE or B Tech in Aeronautical engineering and student may opt it after they pass senior secondary class. The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks. Jobs are available with the national, international, public and private Airline Services as well as aircraft-manufacturing units.
International Scholarships Updates:
* University of Aberdeen offers Indian Masters Scholarship for Indian students for pursuing Masters Degree program at University of Aberdeen, UK. The scholarships will be awarded on competitive basis, which typically amounts to £2,000 each for a period of 12 months.
* Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowships : Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai MBA Fellowships encourages talented and motivated Indian men and women who may not otherwise apply to the business school because of financial concerns. * Charpak Masters Scholarship in France: The Charpak scholarship program established by the Embassy of France in India is designed for the Indian students to pursue two years Master’s degree course in France. Charpak scholarship program is named after Georges Charpak (1924 - 2010), a French physicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1992. The candidates should not be above 30 years
Admission Update: National Museum Institute of History of Art, Conservation and Museology (NMIHACM) is a Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, located in the National Museum, New Delhi. The Institute offers specialized courses in (a) History of Art (b) Conservation (c) Museology, leading to the award of M.A. in concerned disciplines. Aspirants may apply on or before 22nd June for written test.
Examination Update:
Civil Services Examination 2015: Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination for the recruitment in different services and posts shall be held on 23rd August by Union Public Service Commission. Aspirants may visit UPSC’s website for details.
Indian Forest Service Examination 2015: The Union Public Service Commission will hold a screening test for selection to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2015 through Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2015 which will be hold on 23rd August in accordance with the rules published by the ministry of Environment, forests and Climate Change in the Gazette of India dated 23rd May 2015.
