My Room
H Ranjita *
In this world wide
Of all places I like
Is my small room,
My own room
Which you can call
'A Room of One's Own'
That gives me space
As large as the Universe.
I can do whatever I like,
I can travel time and places
In this small, tiny room.
Here I am second to none,
No tradition, no culture,
No customs can bind me.
I am the master,
I am the captain,
I hold the reins.
I feel free as a bird
Flying high up in the sky
In my small room,
Within the four walls.
What a paradox!
