Indigenous Khabak hit main menu of Ningol Chakkouba

Khabak, one of the most delicious indigenous fish once considered to be vanished from the soil of the state was backed as main menu of Ningol Chakkouba this year which was celebrated in Manipur on Tuesday. Khabak was the indigenous delicious fishes of Manipur which was on the verge of extinction even though it was available in plenty.
Khabak was sold at the rate ranging from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 per kg. Despite the high price compared to other fishes which were sold at the rate ranging from Rs 150 to Rs 500 per kg, Khabak was the main demand of the fair.
