Imphal, September 21 2009: Refuting the claim of the police that members of AMUCO are connected with UG groups, Churachandpur United Clubs Organisation (CUCO) and Phoisanjang Area Development Committee decried the arrest of the members of the social organisation.

Decrying the Khwairamband market incident of July 23, the two bodies in separate press releases also urged the State Government to release the arrested members of AMUCO.
