Lamka, May 03 2010: Even as the deadline for filing of nomination for the first phase of ADC polls has winded up today, a total of 111 aspirants, including three women and one uncontested candidate submitted nomination papers to the five ROs in Churachandpur district, reports our correspondent.

Two NCP candidates had filed their nominations earlier.

The INC with two women candidates fielded candidates in all the 24 seats.

The RJD and NCP put eight candidates each in the fray.

The CPI contested in five seats while Trinamool Congress fielded four candidates including a woman.

The BJP is set to contest in only one seat.

Editor of Thuhiltu (Vaiphei daily) is also in the fray.
