Imphal, July 31 2009: An emergency meeting of DM College of Science has strongly condemned the act of hurling a hand grenade at the residence of the Principal of the college, G Tomba Sharma located at Soibam Leikai early this morning around 4 .

A statement issued by the convenor of the meeting, Kh Ibocha urged all concerned to clarify at the earliest why such attempt has been made to an eminent academician of the state.

Further, the statement conveyed that the meeting also resolved to protest any sort of extortions which may cause disturbances in the academic atmosphere of the college in future.
