Imphal, August 20 2009: In protest of the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar incident, womenfolk of Tera Loukrakpam Leikai took out a torch rally from Industrial Road to Naoremthong at night today.

The protestors also shouted slogans demanding resignation of Chief Minister O Ibobi, punishment of the guilty police commandos and restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.

As the rallyists advanced toward Naoremthong, police fired tear gas shells and mock bombs/bullet bullets to discussed them.

At Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi and Khongman, local residents staged demonstrations against the Khwairamband Bazar incident.
