Imphal, August 10 2009: Khurai Local Council of Communist Party of India condemned the killing of Ch Sanjit in the Khwairamband market incident of July 23.The party said that the State Government must punish the culprits of the incident regardless of post and rank.

It also asserted that the Judicial Inquiry into the incident must be completed within a stipulated time.

The party also urged to lift the curfew and check the police excesses meted out to the public during curfew.
