Imphal, July 27: United Hills Village Authorities Council Manipur asserted that the time is ripe now in the State to establish SPOs in all villages of the State for self defence.

Maintaining that Government security force can kill anybody at any time, while UG groups can also give any punishment they wish.

So, the council said, it is now the time has come to arm the whole public by establishing SPOs for self defence.
