Imphal, June 23 2010: Around 450 freight trucks including oil tankers and LPG bullet tankers arrived at Imphal today at about 7.30 am on the Imphal-Jiribam section of NH-53 while another 250 left on the same highway.

On the other hand around 200 loaded trucks reportedly stranded at Goladhon, Jiribam due to blocking of the road when a truck met accident.

After clearing the road, the trucks had started heading Imphal.

Meanwhile, security forces deploying on the stretch of the highway are conducting round the clock patrolling.

Six companies of CRPF sent by the Centre also on duty on the stretch, source said.
