Imphal, August 07 2009: Expressing dissatisfaction over the action of the Government, over the July 23 incident, which claimed three lives including an unborn child, and the excesses of the police commandos towards the agitated people, JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Y Krishnadas Singh and Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association (KBBWA) have jointly imposed a general strike in Thoubal district from midnight today till 6 pm tomorrow.

At the end of the general strike, a torch rally would also be taken out, a statement jointly signed by president of JAC P Madhusudan Singh and secretary of KBBWA Ksh Somarendro Singh informed, while appealing to all the people to support the general strike.
