Imphal, August 05 2009: Maintaining that the present State Government is not able to save the life of the general public, Universal Mother's Organisation (UMO) urged Governor Gurbachan Jagat to impose President Rule in the State.

UMO in a press release demanded to reorganise the Manipur police commandos as a disciplined organisation.

The women's body also pressed to recruit IRB and police personnel in fair and transparent way.

The body further alleged that the present MLAs are not competent enough to serve the people as they collectively supported the statement of the Chief Minister delivered on Khwairamband incident.
