Imphal, August 19 2009: Rifleman Ashem Inaoyaima Singh of C-II/Coy 2 IRB has been placed under suspension for his grave misconduct and dereliction of duty in connection with opening fire on the protesters.

The Commandant of 2 IRB has issued an order in this regard comtemplating a departmental inquity against him.
