Imphal, February 18 2009: The marathon sit-in-protest staged by Sharmila Kanba Lup demanding to save the life of Irom chanu Sharmila continued for the 71st day today.

Womenfolk of Khurai Sajor Leikai, Khurai Laishram Leikai and Khurai Thangjam Leikai took part in today's protest.

The women protesters also observed two-minute silence to condoling the death of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Th Kishan and his two staff Yumnam Token and Aribam Rajen.
