Imphal, August 03 2009: The suspected UG cadre shot dead by troops of 28 AR during a reported encounter at Waithou turning in the night of August 1 has turned out to be a drug addict.

The deceased has been identified as one Kangabam Biramani (32) s/o Robichandra of Brahmapur Nahabam Bachaspati Leikai.

He is survived by his wife and a son.

Family members disclosed that Biramani was a drug addict.

Family members have claimed the corpse after post mortem at Lilong PHC today.
