Imphal, August 06 2009: Some police commandos have reportedly decided among themselves to stay away from duty to register protest the suspension of seven police commandos including an SI in connection with the Khwairamband incident of July 23 .

According to source, the police personnel of the same unit, to which the suspended personnel belong, have disgruntlement over the suspension of their colleagues.

Some police commandos of the Imphal West have returned to their respective stations from curfew duty tonight around 8 .

However, the police officers pacify them and the personnel later went back to duty.
