Imphal, November 08 2009: Some unidentified persons hurled a patrol bomb at the Anand Singh Higher Secondary, Chekon under Porompat police station this night in a bid to torch the school building.

The Chawkidar of the school, Khoisnam Naba found the catching fire at the wall of the school at the initial stage whcih save from total burning down of the school.

The burning is believed to be related the opening of the school amidst class boycott stir.
