Imphal, August 07 2009: In protest against planting of a bomb by unidentified persons at Ngairangbam village under Patsoi Police Station yesterday morning, the local Meira Paibis today staged a Wakat Meepham today.

According to the protestors, the bomb had been detected by the villagers and the same have been retrieved and detonated later after giving the information to Patsoi Police Station and 12 Maratha Light Infantry.

Demanding to know the identity of the person or the group responsible for planting the bomb, the protestors informed that incident of killing people after being brought to Ngairangbam village have occured six times in the past.
