Imphal, October 19 2009: The proposed joint meeting of ATSUM and DESAM on the 'current boycott of classes in the valley districts' which was scheduled to be held on October 21 has been cancelled .

Announcing this in a joint statement, the two student bodies have regretted any conveniences caused by the proposal and subsequent cancellation of the meeting.

The joint statement was signed by president of ATSUM Thomas Taishya and president of DESAM LC Santosh.
