Imphal, May 18 2010: The SDO office at Purul in Senapati district was burnt down by suspected supporters of NSCN ((IM) last night, at about 11.30 am, police report said.

In the firing all belongings of the office including office documents, furniture have been totally gutted, the report said.

On the other hand, a delay report said that the Lungchong Mai Phei tribal block development office in Ukhrul district under Somdal police station had also been burnt down by miscreants on the night of May 8 last.

More than 30 government offices had burnt dwon in hill areas since Mao incident.
