Imphal, October 17 2009: The Bishnupur District Students' Guardians Welfare Association was set up during a meeting of guardians of both Government and private schools of Bishnupur district today, conveyed a press release.

The meeting resolved to appeal to the Government of Manipur, Apunba Lup and the three student bodies to chalk out an amicable solution to the present deadlock and ensure resumption of normal classes at the earliest possible time.

The meeting also elected a 15 member committee with Heisnam Gulamjat of Thanga Khujem Leikai as president and Hemam Boyai of Moirang Lamkhai as secretary.
