Imphal, January 10: The chief commander of the KCP Mobile Task Force, City Meitei has claimed responsibility for awarding the death penalty on Assistant Inspector of ZEO, Wangoi W Sanatomba.

The AI was shot dead near the gate of his residence at Wangoi Wahengbam Leikai yesterday evening.

City Meitei explained that the AI was killed as he was instrumental in the killing of the three MTF cadres by KCP (Noyon) on May 31 last year at Wangoi.

He added that the other staff of the ZEO, Wangoi would be targeted unless they confess to their misdeeds and surrender to the outfit.
