Imphal, January 31 2009: Based on request made by NSCN (IM) cadres regarding shortage of water and food, troops of Assam Rifles provided food packets and water to the cadres confined at their Siroy camp on humanitarian grounds.

A press release issued by PRO IGAR (S) reiterated that NSCN (IM) hierarchy should leave aside personal gain and egos and move their cadres out of Siroy to any of the designated camps to allow peace and tranquillity prevail in the area and alleviate the problems faced by the local populace and its cadres.
