Imphal, January 24 2009: Even though the stand off between the Naga rebel group NSCN (IM) and the Assam Rifles over the establishment of a camp of the latter at Siroy village in Ukhrul district has been reportedly settled amicably, the security personnel cordoning the camp or the armed NSCN (IM) cadres have not yet left the area.

According to sources from the tension gripped Siroy, till late evening today, there has been no sign of the 17 Assam Rifles posted at Siroy leaving the area.

On the other hand, despite the deputy secretary of the Naga rebel group Jacob Shaiza reportedly giving instructions to all the armed cadres being holed up in the camp to abandon the camp within 72 hours, no one has left till late evening today, the sources added.

Kids have been transferred to Ukl Hqs.
