Imphal, October 21 2009: At the instruction of the Union Home Ministry, 111 BSF has been posted at the barrack occupied by Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) in Jessami under Chingai Block of Ukhrul district even as Nagaland has fumed over deployment of IRB in Jessami.

According to a reliable source, 111 BSF battalion has been posted at the barrack which used to be occupied by NAP in the early part of this month following an instruction from the Union Home Ministry.

In consideration of the demand of the people of Jessami for deploying State force at the border village, a company of 6 IRB has also been posted.

But Nagaland Government has expressed dissatisfaction over this arrangement, the source disclosed.

A permanent site where the IRB company would be located is yet to be finalised.

However, as a temporary arrangement, the IRB personnel are being attached with the Jessami Police Station and the Assam Rifles post, the source added.
