Imphal, August 14: BJP Tamenglong District Committee has appreciated the wisdom of All Naga Students' Assn (ANSAM) and Naga Students' Federation (NSF) in calling off the 52-day long economic blockade as a good gesture towards the people of Manipur who have been reeling under numerous problems.

The humanitarian concern for the poor people of Manipur and those residing along the National Highways would secure more public support to ANSAM and NSF on their demands, the Committee president Phenri Remei said in a statement, while pointing out the need for finding out an alternative form of agitation.

Blaming the SPF Government for the deadlock, Remei asserted that the Centre was not briefed by the State Government on the true nature of the problem and the Centre acted according to the bias report of the State.

The Committee also lauded the wisdom of State unit BJP president Th Chaoba in taking up initiative for bring about stability in the State.
