Imphal, April 09: Enraged over the alleged the sexual harassment meted out to Maibam Naobi by Thoubal police commandos and dissatisfied with the response of the State Government, Wakat Meephams continue to be held in several parts of the State demanding commensurate punishment to the guilty commando personnel.

One such Wakat Meepham at Keishampat organised by MAFYF demanded resignation of the Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers for their failure to deliver justice.

The agitators also demanded befitting punishment of the guilty commandos for their bestial treatment of Naobi and CJM Thoubal Mrs Kim who failed in her duty to uphold truth and justice.

Cautioning that a massive and intense agitation would be launched if the State Govt fails to honour the demands made by people in connection with the extra-judicial torture of Naobi, a MAFYF volunteer informed that a marathon race under the theme 'Run For Motherland' would be organised tomorrow on NH-53 till Khumbong.

Another Wakat Mee-pham organised jointly by Lainingthou Yangoiningthou Meira Paibi Nupi Lup and Thingom Ningthou Meira Paibi Nupi Lup was staged in front of Porompat TV tower where the protestors demanded fitting punishment of the police commandos guilty of outraging the modesty of Naobi.
