Imphal, July 07 2010: A total of 286 freight trucks coming on Imphal-Jiribam section of the NH-53 stranded at Jiribam owing to the landslide at some places along the stretch even as another 103 trucks crossed Mao gate for Imphal today.

Official reports said that the normal movement of trucks and other on NH-53 has been disturbed since yesterday due to landslide at some places on the stretch.

Over 286 freight trucks arriving at Jiribam for onward journey to Imphal stranded there.

Among the stranded trucks, it includes 59 oil tankers, 22 bulk LPG carriers, the report.

On the other hand, despite the ban imposed by the Transporters and Drivers' Council vehicle plying the Imphal-Dimapur section of NH-39, a total of 103 including 28 loaded with rice, 23 cement and five urea had proceeded Imphal from Mao gate today.

They had crossed Mao gate at about 1.15 pm, police here said.
