They (culprits) are devils in the guise of men.

My heart aches to see them punished in the severest manner", said her father Rajmani of Langjing Achouba.

Though eager as she is to avenge the killing of her daughter, the dejected mother Agani prefer the law to take its own course.

Nevertheless, she urged the State Government to put in all its might to nab the perpetrators of such a ghastly crime and to punish them accordingly at the earliest.

Critically wounded as she was during the terror attack on the Janmasthami Day, Ranjita struggled for dear life for two days but could not hold on anymore and passed away on Aug 18.Being the only girl among five siblings, Ranjita, always cool and modest, never had any time for herself as she was busy looking after the needs of her brothers.

She was always busy helping her mother and doing household works.

Nandeibam Nandini, cousin of Ranjita who accompanied Ranjita to ISKCON on the fateful day recounting the moments before and after the terror attack said that they (Ranjita and herself) on reaching ISKCON temple went to the makeshift mandap to watch the Ras Lila rendition.

"Moments later a loud explosion shook the mandap.

At the moment I was sitting next to Ranjita who was standing then" Nandini said her voice choked with emotion.

After a moment of confusion and blurred sense, Nandini found her childhood friend lying on the ground and her head bleeding profusely, she said.

"Then I wrapped the bleeding head of Ranjita with my chunni and shouted for help after which two youths lifted her to an ambulance.

By that she was in a semi-conscious state", Nandini recalled of the nightmarish and heart rending moments.

After she was examined, Ranjita was referred to Shija hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on August 18, leaving all her dear ones broken hearted and dejected.

Nandini said that the nightmarish moments would be hard to forget all her life.
