Imphal, March 31: To unmask the mystery behind the kidnapping and subsequent murder of eight year old Lungnila Elizabeth, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered the murder case for probing the brutal crime.

In a message faxed by the CBI Special Crime Branch Kolkata to the State Police Department yesterday, the CBI has sought all the relevant documents and reports of the case.

The documents are to be officially submitted to the CBI.

Informing that Lungnila Elizabeth's murder case has been registered under case No Re 5/s/04-Kol, the message added that an inspector would be sent to the State within a short period to investigate the matter.

Mention may be made here that NSCN (IM) Dy Kilonser Karaibo Chawang had earlier announced that investigation into the brutal crime have been completed and punishment to the guilty person will be awarded in a short time.

According to a high level source from the State Police HQ, a team from the Special Crime Branch Kolkata has already arrived here for formally taking over the murder case.
