Imphal, May 16: Even though a number of cases were registered by the police in connection with intimidations and coercion by cadres of a particular underground outfit during the Outer Parliamentary Constituency polls, most of the cases are still pending without any hope of reaching its logical end in the near future as all the cases have been entered without any specific details of the outfit, disclosed a highly placed source.

Sources further stated that State Govt would not be able to do anything with regard to the case even though the Union Home Ministry had instructed the State Govt to take up stern actions against any individual or underground organisation found causing disturbances during the polls.

It also informed that lack of concrete evidences have also complicated the matter further.

Mention may be made here that BJP's outer candidate Loli Adanee and his workers who had gone to Tamei for campaigning before the outer polls were forced to return before reaching Tamei by some unidentified men.

Loli Adanee who registered a complaint about the incident to the police however did not mention the name of any particular outfit in his complaint but simply stated that he was threatened by some unidentified persons while his campaigning.

In another instance a group of media persons who had gone to Tamenglong for covering the outer polls along with some BJP workers were also forced to return by some unidentified men from Noney after pulling down the BJP workers.
