Imphal, January 10: A joint struggle will be launched to check use of money and muscle powers by candidates in the 8th Assembly elections, Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) said.

The Fighting Force Khurai, Lamshang Youth League, People's Force Konthoujam, People's Right Protection Group, Patsoi, Bishnupur Forward Youth League, Youth for Social Justice, Wangjing Tentha, Youth Fighters Kakching and Keirao Progressive Youth Front, Keirao will support the MAFYF in its effort to stop electoral malpractices.

All the candidates should not provide intoxicants and gambling cards at their election offices.

All forms of election campaign should not be done after 7 pm daily, the Front stated.

It said any organization should not take any kind of help from the candidates.

The Front further sought the support of meira paibis.

Meanwhile the MSF Heirok Branch has today banned all the candidates from feasting, showing drama and giving money to the electorates specially youths to earner votes in the election in Heirok constituency.

Any candidate if found violating the restriction should resign before the polls, it stated while asking meira paibis to extend help.
