Imphal, March 31: The All Zeliangrong Students Union of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland (AZSU-AMN) said that the kidnapping and the subsequent murder of Muheni Martin and Hriini Hubert in Senapati by some anti-social elements has hurt the sentiments of the general public.

The apex body of the Zeliangrong students condemned the incident in the strongest term and termed it as dastardly and beastly act.

The Zeliangrong students body then demanded that the concerned authorities should book the culprits and awarasd befitting punishments to the persons involved.

The AZSU-AMN then said that the general public should come out in join hands to thwart such elements who are on the spree of committing inhuman acts in our society.

.TMihru and Joshua Dangmei, both president and general secretary respectively of the AZSU-AMN, further urged the general public to be vigilant against such anti-social elements so as to safeguard innocent children.

The students body then shares the pains and sorrows of the bereaved family members of the two slain kids.

Rural People's Development Federation, Chandel district has also condemned ghastly act of kidnapping for ransom and subsequent murder of Hrinii Hubert and Muheni Martin.

Solidarity day observed: The Zeliangrong community will observe its Solidarity Day on April 1 at BOAT, Imphal in which leaders from the community will participate.

The Zeliangrong people have been observing its Solidarity Day every year on April 1.Reputed artists from the Zeliangrong community which includes La Madonna of Manipur Alvina Gonson, popular Jiangam Kamei, former Cannibal vocalist Paul, Ringo, Sunday Tuna and others will enthral the crowd from 3 pm onwards at BOAT on the occasion.
