Imphal, January 30: The All Rongmei Development Committee, Jiribam has decided to support Th Debendra who is contesting in the forthcoming State Assembly election from Jiairbam AC as Congress candidate.

A decision to this effect was taken during an executive meeting of the Committee held at New Alipur, Jiribam today.

Citing reasons for the support, Committee chairman P Nembot said that there is no alternative to Congress in good governance with secular approach.

Nembot further said that Th Debendra has special concern for the minority groups and downtrodden people.

�The Rongmei community has unanimously decided to cast votes in his favour�, he added.
