Imphal, April 26: Cadres of the RPF Div IV caught a man today after being found involved in utilising funds sanctioned for the Thangmeiband Block Congress Committee in connection with the Inner Parliamentary polls held today.

Talking to mediapersons at an undisclosed place in Imphal West dist this evening, cadres of .RPF Div No IV said that a sum of Rs 2,50,000 was released for the Thangmeiband Block Congress Committee through the MAHUD Minister for utilising during the Inner polls and added that on the basis of the reports furnished by its cadres all the persons involved in receiving the amount were identified and some amount recovered from them.

The persons involved in utilising the funds have been identified as S Nabachandra of Thangmeiband DM College Gate, Thangmeiband Congress Committee president Irengbam Kameshwar of Thangmeiband YumnamLeikai, SinamTomba of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai and A Jibanlata of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai.

A sum of Rs 6,300, Rs 8000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 26,000 were also recovered in cash from Nabachandra, Kameshwar, Sinam Tomba and A Jibanlata respectively.

Informing that Sinam Tomba and Jibanlata had acquired Rs 40,000 and Rs Rs 36,000 respectively from the amount given to the block committee, the RPF cadres sternly warned them not to defy their directives.

They also said that a total amount of Rs 2,50,000 was given to the Thangmeiband Block congress Committee for utilising during the Inner Parliamentary polls.

The cadres also informed that S Nahachandra of Thangmeiband DM College would be awarded befitting punishment for his activities.
