Imphal, July 23: Asserting that there is the pressing need to stop recruiting child soldiers, the vice-chairman of the proscribed PREPAK has called upon the revolutionaries and introspect and reform themselves to be called true revolutionaries.

In a statement issued to the press, the VC, Nongdrenkhomba said that today the cadres of revolutionary organisations have forgotten the values of revolutions and have instead started turning on their might on the people.

There is no discipline with many of them doing things on their own accord and have stopped working for the interest of the people, said the PREPAK leader.

Though the revolutionary organisations are still shouting that they are for the people, in fact many of them have started working against the interest of the people, said the statement and added that the present internal differences will be sorted out.

Certain points have been agreed upon in principle, said the VC.

Noting that fratricidal killings, confrontation between cadres of different groups, abusing each other etc have done nothing except tarnish the image of the revolutionaries, the VC said that there is the need for all groups to be in touch with each other and share ideas and thoughts.

Groups can start working unitedly on issues in which there are no differences as the starting point, noted the VC and added collecting funds should be seriously studied whether it is reasonable or not.

Revolutionaries also need to understand the inner essence of the saying, from the masses to the masses to Che Guevera's observation that revolutionaries should be saints to Mao's philosophy that revolutionaries should know how to play the piano.

There is the need to stop fratricidal killings, confrontations, said the VC and added that personal power should not be imposed on anyone.

Everything should be based on collective leadership, noted the PREPAK leader further.

Just because cadres of the revolutionary organisations enjoy military power, it does not mean that this power should be misused.

The armed cadres should work under a collective leadership.

In the struggle to win back the lost sovereignty, there is the pressing need to study the relativity between social conflict and the Indo-Manipur conflict.

A policy and programme concerning the sister States also need to be formulated added Nongdrenkhomba.

The public should be enlightened on the proposed foreign policy to be pursued as well to chalk out plans and policies to realise a united effort of all concerned, said the statement further.

The VC further said that there is the need to internationalise the issues confronting the region and accordingly work towards that direction.
