Dimapur, June 20 2010: Sumi Hoho has demanded from NSCN (I-M) 'deputy kilonser' Zhehoto Awomi of Satami village under Aghunato, Zunheboto district to furnish the names of 11 Sumi Hoho leaders and the reason thereof why they should be handed over to NSCN (I-M) authority.

Sumi Hoho president, Hokishe Yepthomi and general secretary, Kitoho S.Rotokha in a joint statement said when the Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) and NSCN (I-M) regional authority met at Chisholimi village under Pughoboto sub-division on May 21, Zhehoto had "openly and clearly" told SKH leaders to hand over 11 Sumi Hoho leaders to IM so that the IM would lift the ban on Sumi Hoho.

The Sumi Hoho said such kind of threat was intimated to it on many occasions.

Therefore, the Sumi Hoho said that it unanimously resolved to hold Zhehoto Awomi responsible if any of the Sumi Hoho and frontal leaders faced any untoward incidences in the hands of unidentified miscreants.

"Truth shall prevail in all circumstances," the Sumi Hoho said.

It may be mentioned that the Sumi Hoho has also unanimously resolved to oppose the proposed visit of Muivah to Pughoboto which falls within its jurisdiction.

Considering the past statements made on the Sumis by the IM under the leadership of Muivah and the consequent "banning of Sumi" by the IM, the Sumi Hoho questioned as to what "moral right" Muivah has to visit Sumi soil.
