Imphal, October 02: The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has lauded the decision taken by the Nagaland Government to open the door to the students in the four hill districts of Manipur to appear their HSLC exam under NBSE as per the desire of the students.

In a statement Paul Langhu, president of the student body expressed its deep appreciation and profound gratitude to Nephiu Rio, Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, Opposition leader and all MLAs of Nagaland cutting across party lines, Education department, NBSE and SCERT for their serious concern and onerous support in treating the issue from a humane point of view and as an extraordinary situation, even overlooking the technical and established norms.

ANSAM also appealed to the authorities concerned to extend their valuable and continued support in future endeavors and hurdles in the process to affiliate to the NBSE.

The student body also extended its gratitude to the civil societies and mass based organisations across Naga homeland, including the Naga Hoho, NSF, NMA, NPMHR, UNC, NWUM, All Nagaland Private Schools Association, Churches and All Private Schools Forum (TUCS) Manipur for their support, cooperation and valuable guidance both physically and morally in all these times from the start.

The ANSAM further appeals to all the students to do well in their exam, and assures that it will do all that is best and possible for the interest of all and for this the ANSAM seeks the solidarity of students, parents, teachers and all concern in order to fulfill the legitimate aspiration of the students.
