SJP (R) releases manifesto

Imphal, February 01: Relying on the mantra of 'Progress of a Nation is in proportion to the advancement of Education', the election manifesto of the Samajwadi Janata Party (Rashtriya) which was released today said that the primary goal and aspiration of the party is to revamp the present education system after due consultation with experts and educationists and implement the same within a specific time frame.

Along with education another important factor in the progress and development of society is economic prosperity, the party noted.

The manifesto clearly said that there can be no political agenda without economic programme and added that lack of avenues to earn a livelihood honorably is one of the pressing matters to be tackled.

Towards this end the SJP (R) would strive to provide employment to the people and generate income by setting up industries and factories suited to the place.

Adequate supply of potable water, electricity, improvement of roads, bridges, communication and protecting and preserving environment would be the priorities of the party, said the manifesto.

The party further said that the mid term poll, for which elections will he held on February 14 and 21 is the ideal time for the people to elect the right party and candidates and usher in a new Manipur and change things for the better.

SJP (R) lamented that even after fifty years of independence Manipur is lacking in all basic amenities and it just do not figure in the map of development and progress.

The time is now ripe to set the wrongs right, said the manifesto.

The manifesto further said that the SJP (R) does not believe in divisive politics and added that differences along religion and caste lines have no place in its agenda.

All should live together as one, it said.

The party will also go along with other like minded political parties.
