Imphal, January 28: Following the declaration of the NSCN (IM) that the prime suspects in the murder of van driver Haobam Ibomcha Singh are in their custody and the assurance of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh that the Government will leave no stone unturned to book the culprits, the JAC formed to protest the murder has subsequently decided to suspend the indefinite NH-39 bandh.

In a statement, the CM's Secretariat said SPF Government is in touch with the ceasefire monitoring cell to press for handing over the accused to the Manipur Govt so that appropriate action under the law of the land can be initiated.

On the other hand, the JAC in a release said that they decided to call off the indefinite highway bandh after the Chief Minister assured that the matter would be taken up expeditiously by the Government.
