Imphal, January 22: The Zeliangrong United Clubs Association, Manipur Valley (ZUCAMV) has strongly condemned the 'treacherous acts' of Works Minister Gaikhangam, Tribal Development Minister Ngamthang Haokip and Speaker TNHaokip.

It may be noted here that on the basis of the purported confessions of James Kuki, the kingpin in the murder of Lungnila Elizabeth, NSCN (IM) had stated that he (James) had pleaded for his security and shelter to the above mentioned politicians while on the run after murdering Lungnila Elizabeth.

However the politicians had turned down his request and sent him away with some money asking him not to reveal their names later on.

ZUCAM V in a statement said the Ministers that should be barred from the State Legislative Assembly, and added that the people of Manipur should join hands together and demand for their removal.

Any high ranking police officials or bureaucrats found involved directly or indirectly in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Lungnila Elizabeth should not be spared but awarded befitting punishment, added the release.

It also expressed its sincere gratitude to the NSCN (IM) and UNLF for revealing the facts with regard to the conspiracy, kidnapping, rape and murder of Lungnila Elizabeth.
