Charenamei stresses on peace and development

Imphal, May 20: Mani Charenamei the newly elected MP from the State's Outer Constituency has today made it clear that his top most priority would be to bring about peace and all round development in the state.

Speaking at his reception function in his Nagaram residence this morning, Mani stated that his decision on either joining the Congress led Govt at the centre or staying in the Opposition would depend on the stand taken during the upcoming meeting of the newly elected independent candidates at New Delhi.

He also stated that all efforts would be made to remove the draconian laws from the State.

It may be noted here that the victory certificate was issued to Mani Charenamei by the Returning Officer at his Lamphel office today.

Meanwhile, Mani who after attending the reception function left for New Delhi this afternoon for attending the meeting of the newly elected independent MPs.
