Imphal, June 18: The Meetei Council Moreh led the observance in Moreh with people from all walks of life paying floral tributes to the martyrs of June 18 uprising at Kondonglairembi Haraobung.

About 1500 people from Meetei, Tamil, Muslim, Nepali, Punjabi, Marwari, Bengali communities and Ngos, government departments paid floral tributes on the occasion.

TH Chote, ADC Moreh, L Imobi, president MCM, Kh Keina Leima, president Kha Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup, Moreh, Md Hussaion, VP Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh, Hayai Bee Bee, Muslim Women Development Society, Moreh and Theinkhogin Haokip, SDC Moreh graced the observance as chief guest, president, guests of honour and special guest respectively.

Under the aegis of UCM, Paona Club and Library, Nagaon, Assam, the Great June Uprising Day was observed today with people paying floral tributes to the 18 martyrs who laid down their lives for Manipur.
