Imphal, January 18: United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has hailed the NSCN (IM) cadres for apprehending the much sought after James Kuki alias Letsei Haokip alias Singboi the kingpin in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of GAD Minister Francis Ngajokpa's eight year old daughter Lungnila Elizabeth.

In a statement, assistant secretary (Publicity) of the UNLF said that inspite of the minor differences between the UNLF and the NSCN (IM), UNLF cannot just remain silent but praise the initiatives of the NSCN (IM) cadres when such deeds are done in the interest of the general public.

The assistant secretary also thanked all the frontal organisations, clubs and meira paibis who cooperated and extended support while hunting for James Kuki.

Asking all the accused whose names had been earlier announced by the UNLF to surrender to the party before Jan 27, 2004, the secretary said that the punishment would be very harsh if they fail to respond positively and later get caught by its cadres or the public.

He also appealed to the family members of all the suspects to handover their wards to the organisation if they feel that their sons have been involved in the barbaric crime and help the UNLF in solving mystery behind the inhuman crime.

He also reiterated that the party had executed its cadre Khuman Ngamba, who was accused of sexually molesting a fifteen years old girl besides severely beating her two younger brothers on Jan 8 at Kholmunlel village under Chakpikarong PS.

The execution took place at Khonmulel Village itself, added the statement.
