Imphal, April 16: Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim, the underground Government of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Muivah faction has cautioned the Nagas against what it described as the diabolic character of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and urged them not to make mistakes in their political perception and venture.

In a statement made available to the press today, the ministry of information and publicity of the underground government maintained that everything is not going well for BJP despite the party's attempt to project its image with a secular mask.

The party's India Shining and Feel Good slogan may not take the party too far because many ill conceived and motivated events are taking place across the Indian subcontinent behind these slogans, the statement said and went on to say that the failure of the BJP to rein in the Rashtrya Swayamsevak (RSS) in the garb of religion and culture is having a telling effect on the secular character of the BJP.

The statement asserted that the Naga people have always abhorred the entry of BJP in Nagaland, because of its pronounced communal proclivities.

But it was allowed to make its political journey into the State since the last Assembly election with the belief that the BJP being in power at the Centre and controlling the helm of affairs, setting the political agendas of the Indian Nation would be in a position to perspectively penetrate the Naga problem.

But even the Nagaland unit of the party, a constituent member of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) Government, has started speaking a different language that is totally against the political aspiration of the Nagas, the statement lamented, and added that the changing colour of the Nagaland BJP is getting obviously too visible.

Reacting strongly against DAN chairman and leader of the BJP Legislature party Dr Hokishe Sema who had suggested that Naga integration should not disintegrate other communities and cause turmoil in the region, the statement said that Hokishe has placed himself on the wrong side of the table to parrot the thinking of the RSS ideology vis--vis the Naga solution.

This is another symptom of the BJP's illogical approach to the Naga problem, it added.

On the alleged attempt being made by RSS to denigrate Christians as anti-social elements and fundamentalists, the statement clarified that fundamentalism as a practice is anathema to Christian ethics and principle.

As per Christian belief and teachings, there is no such doctrinal backing which encourages fundamentalism and spreading message of God as per Bible teaching should not be interpreted or seen as being fundamentalist, the statement observed and asserted that the wrongful interpretation and motivated projection by RSS propagandists against the Christians does not make Christian as fundamentalist in any sense of the term.

On other alleged counter Christian campaigns being carried, it said that the Anti-Conversion Bill of BJP is an infringement on the religious freedom of the citizens and such anti- Christian measures speaks volume of the minds and strategies of the fundamentalists at the highest level.

Christians are also being assaulted an discriminated in other parts of the country, the statement decried.

All these outrageous events against the Christian are taking place under the very nose of the BJP which is desperately seeking votes across India under its much publicized slogan India Shining and Feel Good, it lambasted while demanding to know whether the Christians in India are really shining or are feeling good under BJP or not.

It is very critical time for all Christian members to study the two faces of BJP and decide how credible is the party.
