Imphal, January 13: The first list of candidates of the Samata Party for contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections in Manipur has been released.

The 24 candidates in the first list were cleared by the central parliamentary board of the Samata Party during its meeting held yesterday at New Delhi.

A second list of candidates of the party is to be issued shortly.
