NSCN (K), KNF (MC) warn kidnappers

Imphal, November 10: Outlawed organizations have joined in the public outcry against the kidnapping of Luningla Elizabeth, a class III student of Little Flower School, Imphal by unidentified persons for ransom.

Taking serious note of kidnapping an innocent child for ransom, chairman of NSCN's Government of the People's of Republic of Nagaland, Shepoumaramth Region Bosco Smith, in a statement has ordered the organization/gang responsible for the act to hand over the child safely to GPRN or to the school authorities concerned or to her parents within 24 hours.

The underground outfit has also warned of taking up immediate necessary action accordingly if the order is not complied with.

In another statement, Kuki National Front, Military Council has strongly condemned the kidnapping incident describing it as �a deed of narrow minded revolutionaries�.

Warning sternly against the kidnappers, the outfit has asked them to surrender before November 12 or else face dire consequences.

The outfit has also announced its decision of taking up all possible means to find out the kidnappers and launch rescue operation.

On the other hand, Kuki Movement for Human Rights while demanding the safe release of Lungnila said that the punishment meted out to the under aged child can never be justified and is in total violation of human rights.

The rights body also appealed to the State Government to take up necessary action to arrest the culprits and ensure that such violation of human rights on innocent child does not occur in future.

International Manipuri Mothers' Association, which is among the organizations trying to secure the release of the kidnapping child, on the other hand, has convened a press conference tomorrow at Nongdamba Press, Paona Bazar to discuss matters related to the rescue operation being taken up to secure the release of the kidnapped child.

Meanwhile, Sekmaijin to Tokpaching Union of Development Agency; Chingamakha Yanglem Leikai Women's Welfare Association; students and staff of King's Way English School, Sanjenthong; Dewlahland Youth Club; staff and students of Seven-day Adventist Academy, Chingmeirong; Tangkhul Leishiyar Women Society, Imphal; All Manipur Meetei Mayek Research & Training Board; All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organization; All Manipur Secondary School Teachers' Association; Anal Lenruwl, Metei Mayek and Cultural Development Organization strongly condemned the kidnapping.
